Mike Tindall comments that his marriage to Zara is not necessarily "roses and rainbows."

Mike Tyndall spoke with refreshing honesty about his marriage to the Queen's granddaughter Zara (formerly of Phillips).

The former rugby player and podcast host recently appeared on the British TV show Loose Women (renamed Loose Men for International Men's Day) to discuss men's mental health and other issues.

"Marriage and long-term relationships can't always be roses and rainbows," he said on the show (via Us Weekly).

"When you have kids," he continued, "it's a big shock, it's a systemic change that you've never experienced, and it's a rough road ahead.

"It can be like a test of their relationship. Neither of us is right and neither of us is wrong. We have to get through this together."

He explained that he and his wife have different attitudes toward fighting, but they balance each other out. 'Neither one is right and neither one is wrong. 'She stays angry, whereas I can go all barney on the other person when they do something wrong, thanks to the rugby.'

The couple married in July 2011, shortly after Zara's cousin William married Kate Middleton, and have children Mia, Lena, and Lucas.
