Meghan Markle went on a top-secret shopping trip to Santa Barbara

One of the main reasons Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved to the United States was to try to live a more normal life. And while it is unclear if they will ever truly experience a normal life, Meghan experienced it for at least an hour this week when she went shopping completely hidden in her Montecito.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail (see here), Meghan was photographed sneaking around the store in a chic color-coordinated brown ensemble over a pair of Ruspex sunglasses and a KN95 mask. According to the magazine, the coat is by Mossimo Dutti and the pretty tan boots are Tamara Mellon.

According to the Mail, Markle entered Santa Barbara staple Pierre Lafond with one bodyguard and emerged 30 minutes later carrying two bags, while the bodyguard was carrying a new folded blanket in a plastic bag. Princess Meghan put what she found in her car and went alone to Poppy, a children's boutique, and then to Hudson Grace, an interior design store. She then returned to her waiting car and presumably went home to her family.

According to an outsider who spoke to the Mail, "There was a desperation in her shopping, as if she was itching to get out and be somewhat normal." Frankly, that's understandable!

Aside from the last-minute Christmas shopping, Harry and Meghan's other holiday plans are reportedly up in the air. Rumors circulated that they might use Christmas as an opportunity to introduce their daughter Lilibet Deanna to her great-grandmother for the first time, but the Omicron variant forced the Queen to cancel her annual pre-Christmas luncheon at Windsor Castle, suggesting that plans for other gatherings may be on the chopping block as well The New York Times According to the New York Times, the Sussexes are not expected to travel to England this year after all.
