Kate Middleton and Prince William take a sweet moment at the Westminster Christmas Concert
Christmas carols don't usually lead to romantic moments, but Kate Middleton and Prince William somehow found a way to share a sweet moment at a recent holiday concert at Westminster Abbey.
The couple has been gearing up for a royal carol: the concert was recorded earlier this month and will air on December 24, with Ellie Goulding singing the last notes of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" for ITV, A trailer for the show, in which William and Kate exchange loving glances, has been released.
Given that the couple exchanged wedding vows at Westminster in 2011, it is easy to imagine the romantic nostalgia they shared during the concert. Moreover, Goulding actually sang at their first dance as a married couple, giving even more meaning to this moment captured on camera.
The British pop star is just one of the celebrities spreading holiday cheer at the pre-recorded concert; another teaser released by ITV last week added performances by Leona Lewis and Tom Walker, plus footage of TV host Kate Garraway speaking from the podium The video also showed TV host Kate Garraway giving a speech from the podium.
The audience was also lined with big names, including Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Kate's parents, and Kate's sister, Pippa Matthews. In addition, 1,200 Covid 19 heroes filled the seats, including medical professionals and members of organizations that supported the British community through the pandemic.
Notably absent was the Queen herself, who had to cancel her annual pre-Christmas lunch due to the rise of Omicron.
The Royal Carol: Together At Christmas will be broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve at 7:30 pm. The event will be broadcast on television and then uploaded to the ITV Hub.
