Nicole Kidman Kicks Off "Sexist" Question About Tom Cruise

Nicole Kidman doesn't want to talk about Tom Cruise.

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman recently gave an interview to The Guardian about her performance in Being the Ricardos. The film follows a week in the lives of Lucille Ball (Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem), touching on issues of marriage, motherhood, and gender in the process.

"Well, that's it," Kidman told reporter Eva Weissman during an interview. 'It's my whole life. I love how I describe the film and how it links to my life. Isn't that wonderful?"

The actress was attracted to the power relationship between Ball and Arnas portrayed in the film, especially the less glamorous aspects of their married life.

"You can't make people behave the way you want them to, and you can fall in love with someone you're not going to spend the rest of your life with," Kidman says. 'And I think that's very relatable. You may have children. And even if you don't, they loved each other very much." [And Wiseman asked if Kidman was alluding to her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. 'Oh my God, no. Absolutely not. Honestly, that was a long time ago, and it's not in the equation. Kidman replied. [And she got mad.

"And I don't want you to assume that either. Because I don't think anyone would say that to a man.' And at some point, I said, 'Give me my life. Give me my life. [Kidman and Cruise divorced in 2000, and since then they have led very separate lives. For his part, Kidman won an Oscar in 2003 for "The Hours," married Keith Urban in 2006, won an Emmy (and a Golden Globe) in 2017 for "Big Little Lies," and has appeared in countless other films and TV shows and continues to receive rave reviews

Despite her many other roles in films and television shows, she is still a highly regarded actress.

Despite this, she still gets questions about her ex-husband."

Given all she has accomplished in her life and career, it is certainly easy to understand her frustration.
