Kate Middleton and Prince William "undeniably" hit it off for first joint engagement in 2022: body language experts

The Cambridges are together

Prince William and Kate Middleton recently headed out to visit the Foundling Museum in London, where their first joint engagement in 2022, the Duchess, is a patron.

According to Getty Images, the museum "tells the history of the Foundling Hospital, Britain's first children's charity, founded in 1739 as a home for children whose mothers were unable to care for them." The museum offers training, mentoring programs, and creative projects aimed at changing the lives of young people experiencing care"

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked characteristically elegant for the event. He in a suit jacket dressed down with a sweater and more casual pants, she in a bright blue winter coat over a navy turtleneck, wide pants and matching pointed pumps.

In photos from the event, the two look very at home with each other, discussing with representatives of the care system and famous former athletes. In one sweet photo, the Duke and Duchess laugh together, the Duke turns to his wife and she places her hand on her husband's arm.

Body language expert Darren Stanton analyzed the attitudes of the Cambridges during their stay at the Foundling Museum and liked what he saw.

"It was interesting that when they arrived at the Foundling Museum, Kate got out of the car alone and walked toward the waiting crowd while Prince William followed closely behind," Stanton, representing Betfair Casino (opens in new tab), Marie told Claire.

"She never looked back to see where William was, which shows her solid confidence and the trust she and William have in each other's abilities. William is very pleased to have Kate in the lead role, and I think this small, casual gesture makes it clear that we are now seeing a much stronger version of Kate as an established working member of the senior royal family.

"This not only shows that she is very much herself and has a sense of independence in her relationship with William, but also how important she considers her role in the monarchy." These comments echo the conclusions of previous experts that the Duchess of Cambridge has developed a great deal of confidence since she first joined the royal family.

Stanton further comments on the couple's connection. What is clear with William and Kate as a couple, as it has been from the beginning, is that they are undeniably on the same page," he told "Marie Claire."

"They are so comfortable in and around each other that they don't feel the need to be in constant touch. This was evident in their engagement today, as the two maintained exactly the same posture while maintaining a subtle distance.

"This could be taken as a sign of strength, that even though they are attending events as a pair, they are content to work as individuals. At one point, William was seen leaning in close to Kate and speaking to her on a more personal level, a gesture that indicated that they were more than happy to be in close proximity, implying that they were growing closer and were indeed a strong couple"
