Prince Charles wants to meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, says royal official

Prince Charles has yet to meet in person his granddaughter, Lilibet, who was born in June, and has not seen her brother, Archie, since the Sussexes left England. Apparently, according to one royal source, Prince Charles is "eager" to spend time with Lilibet.

"The Prince has been talking to his son frequently in recent months," one source told the Mirror. 'Like his two children, the prince loves his son very much and looks forward to them spending time together in the near future.'

Another source echoed this sentiment. The source told the Mirror, "The Prince of Wales is saddened that he will not have the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, whom he truly misses."

"He is a wonderful grandfather and loves playing the role immensely. It's fair to say that he feels something is missing from his life by not having the opportunity to get to know Harry's children." That is why he has gestured to Harry, Meghan and the children to stay at his home whenever they may return home for a period of time if they so desire."

"This is something he hopes to remedy."

"In the meantime, the Prince is very much looking forward to . the good-natured and pleasant conference calls that Prince is so looking forward to continue."

"The Prince has been very happy to be here.

Prince Charles has reportedly offered to have his youngest son, his wife, and their children stay with him during his next visit to the UK, but royal expert Angela Levin believes Meghan Markle would find it too "awkward."
