Prince Harry reportedly "eager" to return to UK this year
For better or worse, the remainder of 2022 is a big year for the royal family. It's the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, a commemoration of the Queen's 70 years of service to the United Kingdom. Also, Harry's memoirs will be released and are expected to cause quite a stir. And Prince Andrew's trial may finally come to an end, ending a painful chapter in royal history. Prince Harry is desperate to make it happen.
Last week, a spokesman for Prince Harry released a statement revealing that Prince Harry has been denied police security for his upcoming visit to the United Kingdom. While Harry and Princess Meghan pay for private security in California, Harry himself was denied even the opportunity to pay for police security during his stay in the UK so as not to burden taxpayers. Of particular concern is the security breach that occurred last summer when he visited the UK to attend the unveiling of the Diana statue.
Harry has pleaded with the British government to ensure the protection of his children, but he is nonetheless working hard to return, according to Ken Wharf, who guarded Princess Diana, Harry, and William when they were younger. In a panel conversation with the Daily Mail, Wolff explained what might be behind Harry's thinking. 'The fact that he has gone down this legal route to secure protection suggests that he is desperate and has a real reason to come to the UK. 'He has two children, and the Queen has yet to see them. [Waugh continued." The fact that he has made such a fuss with the British government to secure protection suggests that he is really going to try to come back here." He added, "I think we will see him back this year for the Platinum Jubilee."
Harry may be feeling the pressure to introduce Lilibet to his great-grandmother, the Queen, as soon as possible. He was reportedly distraught when Lilibet spent the night in the hospital late last year due to health concerns. With the queen's platinum jubilee fast approaching, we may soon see Harry and Meghan's triumphant return to the UK.
