The royals may be going to the country! While the Cambridges usually use their Kensington Palace apartment as their London base, speculation is growing that Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children may be planning a move from London to Berkshire, where Kate grew up, and the fivesome spent more time at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, and the most recent Covid quarantine was also spent there, but it is rumored that they are planning a full-time move to Windsor Castle, which is a short drive to London and close by when the Queen is in Windsor, as well as enjoying the benefits of country living.

One major problem, however, is where the children will go to school. George and Charlotte both attend Thomas Battersea School in London (they go by the names "George Cambridge" and "Charlotte Cambridge" to blend in with the other students), but Windsor is close to some of the best boarding schools in the country.

According to Gloucestershire Live, moving to Windsor would allow George to attend both Eton, which Prince William and Prince Harry have attended since they were 13, and Marlborough, which Kate attended, within an hour. Both are boarding schools, but Windsor is much closer to campus than London. But while Eton may be his alma mater, Prince William is said to be eager to break with tradition when it comes to his children's education. Marlborough would therefore be high on his list of candidates.

Another advantage Marlborough has over Eton is that the latter is a boys' school while the former is coeducational. However, George will be able to attend with Princess Charlotte until age 18, as his current school, Thomas Battersea, plans to add a senior school later this year.

The family seems very open about this decision, and George may have the final say.
