Camilla publicly reacts to the Queen's support

Camilla's reaction to the gesture was caught on camera at her engagement on Thursday, after the Queen firmly endorsed Camilla last week and made it clear that the Duchess of Cornwall should one day become the Queen's Queen.

While visiting the Nourish Hub, a community kitchen in London, a member of the public asked Camilla how she felt after the Queen's landmark announcement ahead of the 70th anniversary of her accession. This was the first time Camilla had responded publicly to her mother-in-law's statement.

"I am very, very honored and very, very moved," Camilla said.

The revelation came as Clarence House announced that her husband, Prince Charles, had tested positive for COVID-19 and was undergoing self-isolation. Prince Charles himself expressed similar sentiments to his wife when he issued a statement last Sunday regarding his mother's reaction to the announcement.

"We are deeply conscious of the honor that my mother's wishes represent. As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our community, my beloved wife has been my own unwavering support throughout."

A royal source told PEOPLE magazine this week that Camilla is a great support to Charles, who tends to have "eyo moments" and she "cheers him up."

According to new poll numbers published by the Daily Mail and reported by Newsweek, by showing the Queen's support, the British public has come out in favor of Camilla.
