Pete Davidson returns to Instagram, follows only two people, including Kim Kardashian

Pete Davidson quit social media in 2018 because he didn't like what social media was doing to his mental health.

"No, nothing wrong," he wrote on his Instagram Stories prior to quitting the platform (via CNN).

"There was nothing. There's nothing to quibble about. I just don't want to be on Instagram anymore. Or any social media platform. The internet is an evil place and I don't feel good about it."

"Why should I spend my time on negative energy when my real life is fuckin' light. The fact that I have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I will be back eventually.

Now that he is dating Kim Kardashian, one of the most prominent social media users in the world, it makes sense that Davidson is rethinking his stance. He is now back on Instagram under the handle @pmd, but he has no plans to return anytime soon.

Davidson returned to Instagram a few days ago and has 1.6 million followers. He apparently follows Kardashian, whom he has been dating since the fall, and Sebastian Stan (FYI, Stan is best known for his Marvel movies and currently stars as Tommy Lee in Pam and Tommy).

There is no known connection between Davidson and Stan, making this follow-up extremely outlandish. Entertainment editor Karalyn Lippo tweeted, "Spent too much time wondering why Pete Davidson only follows two people on his new Instagram account and one of them is Sebastian Stan." Let's hope we find out soon.
