But Kate herself admits that there is one skill she has yet to master--knitting. [She first tried knitting in 2013, while pregnant with her first son, Prince George. After the birth of her first son in July of that year, the Duchess of Cambridge knitted a jumper for her first son, she told grandmothers who were showing off their crochet skills to the Duchess in Bradford while Kate was visiting Older Yet Wiser, an organization that supports grandparents.

"When George was first born, I tried to crochet. 'I tried to knit a special jumper for George, but when I got halfway through it, it just flew apart. Knitting is an amazing skill."

Hello! reports that on another trip to Glasgow, Kate told a group of assembled fans, "I'm trying to knit, but I'm really bad at it. I should ask for tips!"
