The Queen still holds the most influential royal title, but it is Meghan Markle who inspires her the most, said lawyer and activist Dr. Shola Moss-Shogbamim in an exclusive interview with the Daily Express.

"I don't think Meghan is past royalty. She is still royalty because she is married to the Duke of Sussex, the Queen's grandson." Is she inspiring? I think so. I think Meghan's inspiration comes from herself and how she has dealt with this issue. Obviously, she has come to the point where she thinks, 'Forget about you guys, I deserve better than this. But what seems most likely is that she has been able to elicit responses from people who would not normally speak up about these things. Black and brown women are standing in solidarity with Meghan because the same thing is happening to us. Meghan is in the global spotlight, so it is on a larger scale. But what they are doing to her is also what they are doing to us." [Dr. Shola compared Meghan's popularity to that of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, saying, "I think Princess Meghan was able to create a following that no other member of the royal family, with the exception of Princess Diana, was able to create. She was also able to engage with members of society from the perspective of those who were not born rich, went to school, and worked hard. Princess Meghan was an independent woman and a billionaire before she met Harry. Therefore, nothing was given to her that she did not already have. So I assure you that in 2022, Meghan is the most inspirational royal of all."

The most influential royal title goes to the Queen, but it is Princess Meghan who gets the title of inspiration, including even inspiring her husband, Prince Harry, says Dr. Shola.

"Harry probably wanted to do more and wanted more flexibility. Having Meghan in his life gave him the wings he needed to fly."
