Read MoreThe Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Wales on March 1 to mark St. David's Day, the patron saint of Wales. As usual when these two go out together, it was half a feast.
First of all, they looked very happy together, especially the Duchess, who smiled many times throughout the day, showing both eyes and both rows of teeth.
Darren Stanton, a body language expert, also noticed." Whether at a royal event alone or with William in tow, it's safe to say that Kate is equally confident, as seen on her recent trip to Copenhagen," Stanton told Marie Claire on behalf of Betfair Casino (in a new tab (open in new tab). 'But when she's out with William, she seems to exhibit a special happiness. Isn't that just wonderful?
Throughout the day, the Duke and Duchess would switch between times when they were super affectionate with each other and times when they were distant from each other so that they could focus more on the people they were interacting with and the places they were visiting. Yet even when standing apart from each other, the Cambridges seemed to mirror and be super in tune with each other.
"What is really interesting about William and Kate is that while we sometimes see them being affectionate with each other when they are out in public, like holding hands or holding arms, they are equally comfortable keeping their distance and refraining from showing touch is," Stanton explains.
"Here we see that they are often walking separately, and there is a subtle but noticeable distance between them. Yet they are still in sync, seemingly in close proximity to each other, and instinctively still mirroring each other's body movements - stepping forward with the same leg first, or holding their arms in the same way. All of this reflects a deep connection and love between them that cannot be faked, suggesting that their relationship is anything but genuine.
"Their genuine desire to interact with the British public, meet the locals, and fully embrace the places they visit has made them steadfast favorites among royal fans.
While they were inside, Prince William and Kate Middleton looked adorable together in forest green sweaters.
The Duchess' sweater was a turtleneck, paired with her trusty black skinnies, brown belt, and black heeled booties.
Earlier in the day, she wore a red scarf (was this her taking sides in Taylor and Jake's dispute? (No, obviously not, red and green are Welsh colors), and wore a green wax jacket in the classic English country-girl style, similar to the one her husband wore.
The Duchess then changed into a beautiful forest green wool coat from Sportmax, while her husband wore a navy blue wool coat. The collar was decorated with Welsh daffodils.
The Cambridges had quite a full day. They visited a place called Punt Farm, where they petted a precious baby goat (and a precious adult goat).
They visited the Abergavenny Market, where they talked to people selling local produce.
Planted a tree at the Blaenavon Heritage Centreon.
They visited the Blaenavon Hwb, a youth center, and made pancake-like things.
They also played billiards at the youth center.
And they were greeted by a crowd with flags and lots of excited kids.
They were tired, but they had a lot of fun!
