2004 called and told me it was ok, movie stars should stay put.

Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo are back together in a beautiful and wonderful development 18 years after playing good friends/high school sweethearts Jenna Link and Matty Framhuff in the cult romance film 13 Going on 30. Ryan Reynolds and Zoe Saldana also star in this new film.

People spoke with Ruffalo and Garner at the premiere of The Adam Project.

Ruffalo said the experience was "amazing." He added, "It was like we were picking up right where we left off. It was like Jenna and Matty went out and had Ryan Reynolds as a kid and nobody could understand how he got so tall. No, I'd be pretty amused too.

Garner was similarly enthusiastic about their professional reunion. He was excited to be with me, and so was I," he said. We had a great time."

Garner also shared the exact same post, but dedicated to Ruffalo. Clearly, these two know what people want.

Adam Project director Shawn Levy told People how the very shrewd casting came about. 'It was my wife who suggested Jen Garner for the mother role. 'I told [Ryan] about the idea and he loved it. And he pointed out after the fact that this was a '13 Going on 30' reunion."

Basically, Levy didn't know what he was getting into. He added, "We benefited from all the chemistry that existed between Mark and Jen."
