Gigi Hadid Donates Fashion Monthly Income to Aid Ukraine

Since Vladimir Putin's Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, the world has been supporting the Ukrainian people who have been bombed and terrorized daily.

Meanwhile, high-profile events such as award shows and fashion weeks continue to take place. Supermodel Gigi Hadid is one of them.

Along with a series of Instagram photos and videos throughout recent Fashion Month events, including a catwalk at Vivienne Westwood in Paris, Hadid revealed that she will donate money earned from her fashion shows to Ukraine relief.

"Having a set schedule for Fashion Month means that my colleagues and I often present new fashion collections at heartbreaking and traumatic times in history," she wrote. We can't control most of our work schedules, but we do want to 'walk the walk' for something."

"Following in the footsteps of my friend @micarganaraz, I pledge to donate the proceeds from the Fall 2022 show to help those suffering from the war in Ukraine. Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustices. May we look beyond politics, beyond race, beyond religion, and see each other as brothers and sisters. After all, it is innocent lives, not leaders, that pay the price of war. Don't mess with Ukraine. Don't mess with Palestine. Peace. Peace. Peace.

Hadid, who is half Palestinian, has long professed a desire for peace in Palestine.
