Princess Diana was "easy to cook" while Prince Charles stuck to "seasonal" food, says royal chef

Princess Diana was a very lovable person - an image that is certainly reflected in the memories of former royal chef Carolyn Robb.

Robb told Roya Nikka, Royal Editor of The Sunday Times, about the time she catered for the late Princess Diana, her then husband, and their children.

Princess Diana said, "I was very easy to cook for and I liked simple things. Cold mint lamb, salads, soufflés, stuffed eggplant. I didn't like sweet things very much."

Charles, on the other hand, "liked sweet things, but not coffee, chocolate, nuts, or garlic. Chocolate and garlic? Oh my God.

For Charles, "everything was based on what was in season in the garden. During the asparagus season, I would serve it three or four times a week; you wouldn't dare serve asparagus or strawberries in December." Frankly, this was better for the earth and better for him.

Rob also recalled the sweetest episode about Prince Harry. 'When Harry was little, he loved treacle tarts. 'I made Harry a tart the size of a 50 peso one. One morning Harry came into the kitchen before breakfast and asked for one. I said, 'You better check with your mom.'"

Rob is not worried about the Duke of Sussex: "Harry is a very caring and gentle man. : "Harry is a very considerate and kind man. But he is also a very fun person. He also has a mischievous side. I think he would make a wonderful father."

As for Prince William, Princess Diana's eldest son, he had the same sweet tooth as his brother. Rob revealed, "William loved chocolate biscuit cake and meringue."
