Camila meets the actress who starred in "The Crown".

When Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, met actress Emerald Fennell, who plays her on Netflix's hit show The Crown.

Fennell was at Camilla's home, Clarence House, this week for a reception to mark International Women's Day; the two women chatted happily, laughed together, and even posed for a photo together.

"It was especially nice to see her today, on International Women's Day. Because she is committed to many, especially women's charities," Fennell told journalist Georgie Prodromou via PEOPLE.

"I was nervous that I might be thrown into the tower, but so far so good."

Fennell, who played then-Camilla Parker-Bowles in seasons 3 and 4 of the show, did not reveal exactly what she discussed with her real-life royal counterpart, but she praised the Duchess of Cornwall, saying, "She has been in the spotlight for a long time and has always come through with grace."

She said.

Meanwhile, Camilla mentioned Fennel in her speech at the reception, and she drew laughter from the audience as she demonstrated her trademark sense of humor to the fullest.

"It's very reassuring to me," Camilla said, "that if I should fall from my perch, my imaginary alter ego is here to take my place. 'So, Emerald, brace yourself!

"I'll be back in a few days.

In seasons 5 and 6 of The Crown, Olivia Williams will replace Fennell for the 1990s storyline.
