Read MoreRoyal eating habits have long been fascinating. There are many things the average person does not share with the royal family, but, well, we all have to eat. Delicious dishes prepared by famous chefs are at the disposal of the royal family, but it seems that four dishes rarely make it onto the menu.
For example, royalty avoid shellfish due to the risk of shellfish poisoning, which can interfere with their busy work schedules at home and abroad.
"When dining, the royal family must be careful with shellfish due to shellfish poisoning in their work schedules," Grant Harold, former royal steward and etiquette expert, told the Daily Express. 'That's why you don't usually see this on royal menus.'
The Queen personally dislikes onions and garlic, so you rarely see those ingredients in the royal kitchen. Camilla herself confirmed the latter when she appeared on Masterchef Australia and was asked what foods the royal family does not eat.
"I hate to say this, but garlic," said the Duchess of Cornwall. 'No garlic.'
Camilla would not be eating foie gras either. Her husband, Prince Charles, removed foie gras from the royal menu several years ago because of animal welfare concerns. Andrew Farquharson, deputy head of household at Clarence House, Prince Charles and Camilla's residence, once told the Daily Mail, "The Prince has a policy that chefs should not buy foie gras. (Find out how foie gras is made and you will understand why.)
Prince Charles also grows his own organic produce at his country house in Highgrove and keeps chickens on the property.
Her Majesty the Queen has the same breakfast almost every day (cereal, yogurt, toast, and marmalade with Earl Grey tea and cookies, hello!) ), and it has been reported for some time. And Charles, like his mother, has a habit of eating.
"Lunch is considered a luxury that interferes with work, so he eats a late breakfast to get the job done," Gordon Rayner, a former royal correspondent, told The Telegraph.
