Miley Cyrus, plane "safe" after being struck by lightning in South America.

Miley Cyrus was on her way to Paraguay to perform at the Asuncionico Music Festival when her plane was caught in a storm. Thankfully, she and all passengers are safe.

Sharing the horrific event on Instagram, the singer posted a video of a lightning bolt outside the plane's window and a photo of the plane's damaged side.

"To my fans and everyone who is worried about hearing about my flight to Asuncion," she wrote. 'Our plane was caught in an unexpectedly heavy storm and hit by lighting. My crew, band, friends and family who were traveling with me are all safe after the emergency landing. We unfortunately could not fly to Paraguay, I LOVE YOU."

The festival itself was cancelled entirely due to the weather, Variety reports. Cyrus was scheduled to perform there with the Foo Fighters, Dodger Cat, and Machine Gun Kelly.

Cyrus has already been in South America, performing in Bogota, Colombia, Santiago as part of Lollapalooza, Chile, and near Buenos Aires as part of Lollapalooza, Argentina.

According to Us Weekly, the star created a viral moment at the Chilean leg of his South American tour by reading, "Blow Nick Jonas.

"I didn't say that! I didn't say that! It's one of my other signs!" According to the magazine, she then launched into "7 Things," an angry breakup song to Jonas, who she dated from 2006 to 2008, during his Disney heyday. What a tour de force.
