Kate Middleton's confident reaction when told she was glad Prince William was there.

When Prince William enrolled at the University of St. Andrews in 2001, to say the least, the future king and then bachelor was considered the ultimate "catch." Women enrolled or transferred to St. Andrews for the slightest chance to win the young prince's heart and live out a real-life fairy tale. (As we have learned, especially in the past week, that is not always easy.

But it was fellow St. Andrews freshman Kate Middleton (you may have heard of her) who finally caught William's eye and won him over; after they met and settled down as a couple a year or two later, Kate told him again and again how lucky she was to be dating the future king. She was told how lucky she was.

Kate's response?

According to Claudia Joseph, author of Kate Middleton: Princess in Waiting, she smiled and said, "He's lucky to have me."

This is the kind of confidence we want to see from our future queen (and all women).

After graduating from St. Andrews together in 2005, William eventually proposed in 2010 and they were married almost 11 years ago, becoming the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge upon their marriage in 2011. Since then, they have become parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and Kate has successfully fulfilled her role as Duchess of Cambridge, finding work in early childhood education, mental health, and physical activity that speaks to her passions and proves that one woman can do anything (photography, piano playing, basically any athletic activity under the sun comes immediately to mind).

Yes, William may be the future king, but Kate can't be wrong either.
