Rita Moreno at the Academy Awards, "I like the way I look."
ICYMI, Rita Moreno wore Carolina Herrera's form-fitting black gown and black and white feather hat to the 2022 Oscars. 'The latter came from France,' she said! And underneath, she wore a black wig, which the EGOT (meaning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award winner) winner is, as always, undeniably glamorous. Kill me! Sue me! I can't get over myself."
Moreno will attend the 94th Academy Awards tonight ahead of her appearance in the 2021 remake of the original "West Side Story" in which she starred in 1961, winning Best Supporting Actress in 1962 for her role as Anita, She became the first Latina woman to win an Oscar and shot to international fame.
Now 90 years old, Moreno continues to capture the public's imagination with her prolific acting career and groundbreaking reputation, as seen in the Netflix documentary Rita Moreno: Just a Girl Who Decided to Go For It (Rita Moreno, Just a Girl Who Decided to Go For It), has garnered renewed interest since its release. Watch her in both versions of the classic cultural essential "West Side Story," support her film tonight, or simply pray that from now until she turns 90, we all feel as pretty as she does tonight.
