Watch Lady Gaga seemingly ignore Caitlyn Jenner in awkward video

[I sometimes have to literally pause or skip that scene so I don't die of that embarrassment]" Well, that's how I felt about the painful video of Caitlyn Jenner and Lady Gaga's exchange that is currently being discussed. Except it wasn't fiction, it was Elton John's Academy Awards viewing party. And I had to write about it for work or something, so I couldn't just skip over it.

Reporter Bahman Karbasi filmed two celebrities chatting at Elton John's Academy Awards viewing party and shared it on Twitter; I'm not sure what the two women are saying, but a kind (or cruel, depending on your perspective) soul captioned it.

Jenner: How are you? Gaga: I'm well, thank you. Jenner: I'm well: Are you still spending time in Malibu? Gaga: yeah: yes! Jenner: yeah: yeah, I'm still there Gaga: Yeah! Yeah [starts to turn away]. Jenner: I haven't seen you at Starbucks in a long time! Gaga: [turns to walk away completely] Oh, I... I... I switched baristas. Jenner: I know, I know. But it's good to see you! GAGA: [you too

oh, ouch ouch. I mean, not to state the obvious, but "I changed baristas" is hilarious, symbolic, and also complete nonsense. To be credible, we need to say "changed coffee shops." So we have to think of it this way: Gaga didn't need to be credible, she just wanted to send Jenner a message that she didn't want to be friends. In other words, she is Lady Gaga. I mean, she is Lady Gaga. Still, I feel a little sorry for Jenner. Anyway, .......

Interestingly, it hasn't always been this way between the singer and the celebrity: at Vanity Fair's 2016 Oscar party, they swapped secrets and even posed with Gaga's then-partner Taylor Kinney. I guess we'll never know what changed.
