Kate Middleton congratulates girl who beat cancer

The Duchess of Cambridge is known for many things, most notably her love for small children. When she saw a photo of a little girl with leukemia kissing her father through a window in the midst of the COVID-19 epidemic, it was impossible for the royal mother not to reach out.

Six-year-old Mira Seneddon received much love when the photo first went viral in 2020. At the time, she was still undergoing cancer treatment. The girl was eventually able to see Kate twice, and now that she is officially cancer free, the Duchess of Cambridge is still in touch.

Mira and her mother Linda Sneddon appeared on the British program "Lorraine" on Tuesday to tell host Ranvir Singh that Mira's treatment is over. Mira received a congratulatory email from William and Kate, they noted. Said Linda, "Now she is recognized as the happy girl who met Kate Middleton and not the poor girl with cancer."

After the photos went viral, Kate Middleton contacted Mira and learned that her favorite color was pink. She told the girl, "I'll try to find you a pink dress." 'Someday, hopefully, Mia, we will meet, and when we do, I will try to remember to wear a pink dress for you.' When they eventually met, the duchess wore a pink dress in honor of her promise to Mira.

Since the Duchess's three children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) are all the same age as Mira, it makes sense that the girl's story is especially touching to her. Kate has a warm, Princess Diana-like parenting style, barely leaving her children behind when she goes on long world tours. We expect her to give this sweet child special treatment.
