Italian fashion label Fiorucci is known for its sassy, sometimes fantastic spin on fashion, from oversized shoulder pads and ultra-flared pants to party-ready slip dresses. ("Fiorucci's items are] the costumes you wanted to be when you were little. And now you're big enough," says author and cultural commentator Yves Babitz, a fan of the brand.

For spring/summer 2022, the brand is going back to its 70s roots. Inspired by the brand's archival artwork, the new Desert Oasis collection celebrates the earth. Filled with palm prints, vibrant colors, sun motifs, and lots of knits, the collection pays homage to the Southern California landscape surrounding Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, the iconic home of Fiorucci. My personal favorites are the neon-colored accessories with retro motifs and the lightweight cotton pieces that can be quickly thrown on after a day at the beach.
