At COVID-19, the queen said she was "very tired and exhausted."

The public has not seen much of Queen Elizabeth since she contracted COVID-19 at the end of February. Last week, speaking via video call with staff at the Royal London Hospital to mark the official opening of the Queen Elizabeth Ward, which was built in just five weeks in response to the pandemic, the Queen spoke publicly about her struggle with COVID-19.

Asef Hussein, who, in Queen Elizabeth's words, had a "bad version" of COVID, was also present during the call; according to the Mirror, Hussein was in a coma for seven weeks, during which his brother and father died. Still, the Queen had some sympathy.

"I am glad you are getting better," Queen Elizabeth told Hussein over the phone.

"This terrible pandemic makes one very tired and exhausted, doesn't it?"

Another thing Hussein and the Queen had in common: they had many supporters and confidants during their illness. Hussein's wife told Queen Elizabeth that when Hussein was very ill, there were as many as 500 people from all over the world who made zooming calls to wish him well.

The Queen was forced to cancel the engagement due to a COVID diagnosis, but reportedly she was not as ill as Hussain; the Associated Press reported in February that she had "mild cold-like" symptoms. And as you can see, she recovered in tip-top shape.
