Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visit the Queen to "clear up a misunderstanding."

Prodigal royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle briefly returned to the UK en route to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. Although it was more of a stopover than an actual pit stop, they reportedly met and spoke briefly with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. The Sussexes' meeting with Prince Charles and the Queen was apparently an opportunity to resolve the family awkwardness that everyone and their mother is still talking about on both sides of the Atlantic.

According to a royal expert speaking to the Mirror, Meghan and Harry's brief visit to Windsor was a chance to "clear the air" and an "olive branch."

"It must have been a big deal for Harry and Meghan to go to Windsor," said royal commentator Ingrid Sward.

The royal friction seems to have become more pronounced over time. What began as a tabloid ugliness leading up to Meghan and Harry's wedding, and eventually led to the two burning interviews, now seems to have evolved into an atmosphere of constant low tension and excitement. Family, right?

One of the reasons the Sussexes have been away from the UK for so long has to do with Prince Harry's lawsuit against the British government, according to the BBC.

We do not know what was discussed at the "secret" meeting, but it did not include Prince William and Kate Middleton, which another royal expert, Robert Jobson, said was "significant," according to The Mirror. The fact that Prince Charles agreed to meet the youngest couple on such short notice tells us what we all knew. The big issue was trust," Jobson said.
