Read MoreMeghan Markle attended her husband Prince Harry's Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands, to show him love and support.
She was there for the first few days but has now returned to California to reunite with her young children, Archie, 2 (almost 3) and Lilibet, 10 months.
The Duchess of Sussex returned to Los Angeles on Monday, and the Duke of Sussex will probably stay until the end of the games on Friday, April 22, according to Hello!
Hello! hypothesized that the Duchess did not stay for the full duration of the event because she did not want to be away from her children for too long.
During a children's reading led by the Duchess, she apparently told contestant James Stride, a British Army veteran, that she really missed her son and daughter.
"Princess Meghan was quite chatty and told me she missed her children," Stride told the Daily Mail. 'She said she missed her children and wanted to be with them.'
While Markle was in attendance, the convention was quite tumultuous for a number of reasons, including the fact that it is generally a fairly emotional affair: the convention consists of sports competitions between teams made up of wounded servicemen and service members (both veterans and active duty).
For royal fans, the Duchess' choice of attire stood out.
She wore an all-white suit by Valentino:
an off-the-shoulder white top by Katie Holmes' favorite brand Khaite:
and this white jacket (opens in new tab):
[When she wore the black jacket, she also wore a white top underneath:
For her final outfit at the event, she chose a Valentino mini dress with floral cutouts (opens in new tab) and paired it with a nice red lip. White for suffrage? A neutral statement showing no particular support for the UK or the US," Marie Claire was informed by Inbaal Honigmann, a psychic and spiritual expert.
"White in the sense of light encompasses all the different colors. So it's inclusive and broad in the sense that you can send whatever message you want to send."
"The color white, in and of itself, sends a message of peace. In my view, it is also linked to location, because The Hague is obviously the center of many international organizations that seek to deal with, encourage, and administer world peace." I feel that Meghan Markle wearing white at The Hague is a message of peace and unity."
