Prince Harry commented that having Meghan Markle by his side at the Invictus Games "means everything."

The Invictus Games is one of Prince Harry's most familiar projects.

The 2020 Games (to be held in 2022 due to a pandemic) marked many personal milestones for him. It was his first as a U.S. resident, his first as a husband, and his first as a father of two ("proud papa," as he puts it).

His wife, Meghan Markle, accompanied him for the first few days before returning home to spend time with their children in California, and the Duke of Sussex told People how important it was to him that she be there, especially considering that the 2017 Toronto convention was their first official occasion as a couple He told People, "I'm very happy to be there.

"There is no better place to feel embraced and supported than in the Invictus family," the Duke said in a new interview.

"The Toronto convention was our first opportunity to go public in an official way. We were dating at the time, so it was tough to take it in, but luckily we were with the perfect community for it"

The Invictus Games are a series of competitions in which wounded or ill veterans and service members represent their countries. Prince Harry founded the Games in 2014 based on his own experiences in the military.
