Princess Eugenie Launches Podcast to Fight Modern Slavery

Princess Eugenie has announced the launch of a brand new podcast with her charity, The Anti-Slavery Collective.

Co-hosted with founder Julia de Boinville, "Floodlight" will highlight the amazing work being done by individuals and organizations around the world to raise awareness and fight back against the still horribly prevalent phenomenon of modern slavery.

"From legislators and business leaders to well-known activists, survivors and journalists, Floodlight shows how prominent modern slavery is and what we can all do about it," Princess wrote on Instagram.

In a promotional video on the charity's website, Princess Eugenie said, "If you think slavery is a problem of our past, you are wrong. We founded the Anti-Slavery Collective to bring people together to raise awareness for a cause that affects each of us."

Guests on the podcast include Dame Emma Thompson and others on the front lines of the fight against modern slavery; the two co-hosts want everyone to know that the number of people in slavery today is at an all-time high, and that it is happening everywhere, including the United States and the UK. They want to make sure that everyone is aware of this.

Eugenie is not the first royal to get involved in the world of podcasting. Her cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have also launched a podcast, but the project appears to be Markle's alone.

Another cousin's husband, Mike Tyndall, co-hosts a rugby podcast, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have appeared on others' podcasts over the years.
