Princess Charlotte starts each day with a Shakira song

Imagine: a weekday morning in apartment 1A at Kensington Palace. The entire Cambridge family - the Duke and Duchess and their three children, Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (7), and Prince Louis (4), and even their puppy, Aura - are in a frenzied but They are in a happy flurry of activity. The family all love music. Interrupting the idyllic scenery is...

"Most mornings, there's a big fight between Charlotte and George about which song to play," Prince William told the Mirror.

"And now I basically have to prioritize that one day somebody else plays this song and another day it's somebody else's turn. So George has his turn, Charlotte has hers, and so on." That's what the clamor for music is about."

"When it's Charlotte's turn," expect Shakira, especially the princess's favorite song, "Waka Waka," every day.

"It's a really happy moment when the kids just enjoy dancing, joking, and singing," William says.

"Especially when it comes to pop music, their mother, Princess Diana, is a big fan of songs like Tina Turner's "The Best," and William recently said he and his brother, Prince Harry, used to listen to the songs on the radio in the car on the way to school.

"One of the songs that I remember so much and that has stuck with me and that I still secretly enjoy is 'The Best' by Tina Turner. 'It feels like a real family moment when you're sitting in the backseat singing along.' [My mother was singing at the top of her voice as she drove. We even had a policeman [security guard] in the car, and sometimes he would sing with us. They would sing and listen all the way to the school gate."

"It seems that the tradition of the pop music sessions before school continues, as William makes memories with the children that they will one day remember fondly.

"What amazes me is that my children have already inherited my family's love of music," William said.

And if Charlotte is in charge of the day's playlist, "Shakira's in charge."
