Miles Teller "got lost" in Prince William's eyes, Jon Hamm says.

I don't know about you, but I love celebrity meets royalty.

The lucky bunch of Hollywood actors who got a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the cast of Top Gun: Maverick.

Jon Hamm, who stars in the film along with Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Jennifer Connelly, appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to discuss the meeting, among other things.

"There are some guidelines. Not so much guidelines, but there are some hard and fast rules, like when you meet royalty, you bow. If you are a woman, you bow and curtsy," Ham explained.

The actor then praised the duke's success in life. 'It's been a very good experience,' he said. Prince William was ...... It was black tie, so we were all in tuxedos, and Prince William had tuxedo shoes with F-18 embroidered on them,' he recalled. 'Very cool Top Gun tuxedo shoes. Top Gun tuxedo shoes. So I'm not worried about the prince anymore. Whew, that's a relief!

Ham admitted that the cast may not have followed the rules completely. 'There may have been a little breach of etiquette...'

he said.

Then Jimmy Fallon said, "I heard that Miles Teller was a little panicky ......" He urged.

Ham knew exactly what he was talking about: "He was kind of gawking at Prince William's eyes. 'He was kind of gawking at Prince William's eyes. I thought, 'OK, I'm not going to look him in the eye. Just bow and move on.'"

Curious, Fallon said, "Did he say he liked his eyes?" I asked.

Ham said, "Yes, I did," you said to the man, "you fell in love, like you were crazy about his eyes?" And he was like, "I think, I don't know, I lost my mind."
