Khloe Kardashian says she was "led to the attic" to find clothes in her size when shopping at a department store

Khloe Kardashian shared some of the philosophy behind "Good American" in the latest episode of "The Kardashians."

She wanted to counteract the shopping experience she had when she was wearing larger sizes, so she agreed to carry a wide range of sizes, to carry all types of clothing, and to sell her brand only to retailers who would display everything in one place. [Because] when I was shopping in department stores with my sisters, when I was bigger, they would take me to the attic to find my size," she told the camera.

"At Good American, we have to deal with full sizes, and we can't separate them. There is no plus size section, no petite size section. Anyone who doesn't agree with that can't handle that brand."

While selecting finalists from a public casting for the brand's latest campaign, she also explained why it is so important to her to see every woman express herself in Good American's publicity materials.

"When I was a kid, I never felt like there was anyone like me because everyone I saw in fashion magazines was so similar. And I love that we are so diverse and we try to embrace all women. So when someone sees our ads, they say, "Hey, that looks like me."

What I'm trying to say is that our founders are a force for "good."
