Mike Tindall Reveals Prince Louis Was "Sugar High" While Misbehaving at Jubilee

If Queen Elizabeth was the star of the Jubilee, then four-year-old Prince Louis was the foil, or court clown. (If you're a literary fanatic, please don't blame me.)

The little prince made a series of funny faces throughout his attendance at public events and was generally a bit hyper, much to the delight of royal fans. People loved Louis' demeanor so much that his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, playfully picked up on it in an after-the-fact tweet.

Mike Tindall (Zara's husband and Prince William's cousin) finally explained on his podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, why Louis was so, er, chipper. It makes a lot of sense, I must say.

"Louis just wanted to have fun, and my two [daughters] are always naughty, so I was trying to keep a lid on it," Tyndall explained (via The Telegraph). [The girls were] totally on a sugar high because there was so much candy in the back. But there was a lot of candy in the back. They were all young, so to ask them to sit there for a long time, like from 2:00 to 5:00."

"As any parent knows, you just do whatever you have to do."

During the jubilee pageant, Tyndall sat behind Prince Louis with his children Mia, Lena, and Lucas. At one point, Tyndall, a former rugby player, was photographed making a comical "I'm watching you" gesture toward Prince Louis to make sure he was behaving properly.

Body language expert Darren Stanton previously praised Kate Middleton for her handling of Prince Louis' excessive energy. He said, "When Kate interacts with Prince Louis, you'll notice that she keeps her face close to his, her head bent and her height low.
