Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be 'cut off' if they leak Jubilee personal info: royal expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to "mend fences" when they visited the UK for the Queen's Jubilee. Instead, they reportedly hit a "brick wall" with much of the royal family.

But even if their first return from California as a family did not receive the friendliest of welcomes, for royal expert Duncan Larcombe, the fact that they participated in public celebrations represents an "olive branch." He believes that the royals will now be on edge waiting to see if the Sussexes will use their visit to the UK for content.

"The real test for Harry and Meghan is just beginning," Larcombe said in this week's Closer.

"It's going to be great for their brand, and it's going to have Spotify, Netflix, and Penguin eating out of it."

But whether they continue to attend official events will largely depend on how (if at all) they speak about what they saw and heard over the long weekend.

"But it all depends on their future actions," Larkom continued. 'It is clear that an olive branch has been extended to them by the royal family. But Harry and Meghan will spoil it if any private information about this weekend is told to the press or revealed in a book."

For Larkom, the royal family no longer fully trusts the Sussexes and will use the aftermath of the Jubilee as a way to gauge whether that trust can be rebuilt or if it has been broken forever.

"This is their last chance," Larkom explains. 'If something leaks out over the weekend, they will be completely isolated. If they were to betray anyone now, they would be in a very dangerous situation. But if they act properly and prove they can be trusted, it would be a big step in the right direction and could be a new beginning."[12
