Charlize Theron looks like a completely different person with jet black hair
She has gone platinum blonde, rocked it in honey shades, and even experimented with chunky highlights, but it's safe to say that Charlize Theron has spent most of her time in the spotlight as a blonde. With that in mind, it should come as little surprise that the Internet sort of, sort of, fumed when the Atomic Blonde star unveiled her jet-black hair this weekend.
Theron made the grand unveiling at her eponymous Africa Outreach Project Summer Block Party, which aims to establish HIV/AIDS prevention programs. Naturally, the dramatic color change caught everyone's attention, but it seems that the "Mad Max" actress cut her lob more choppy and shagged her bangs. The "Mad Max" actress also seems to have cut her bangs shaggy.
While this may be her most dramatic hairstyle switch (it seriously sent our jaws to the floor), it's certainly not the first time Theron has played with her cut and color. With the help of longtime hairstylist Adil Abergel, she's tried quite a few looks, from the brunette bob she debuted at the 2019 Oscars after being blonde for seven years to her now-famous bowl cut (yes, she went there), nothing is off limits There seems to be none.
In fact, she's even turned into a redhead thanks to her role in Netflix's "The Doctrine of Good and Evil," which will be released this fall. Abergel released a sneak peek of Theron transformed into Lady Resso, which is filming in May 2021, and the trailer for the movie was just released last week. It's only a few seconds long, but Theron's fiery (and curly!) look is on full display.
"Every wonder where every great fairytale beings...? Welcome to #schoolforgoodandevil," Theron captioned an Instagram post last week." I am so excited to share the first look at this magical film that I had so much fun participating in, and TheSchoolforGoodandEvilMovie is coming to Netfix this fall!"
.
The fantasy film also stars Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh, Sofia Ann Caruso, and Sofia Wiley.
