Kate Middleton in a pink pantsuit for Elle Woods.

The Duchess of Cambridge had an important meeting with British ministers. Her attire of choice for that important meeting was, of course, a pink pantsuit. Elle Woods, a Harvard Law School graduate, would be proud.

Kate Middleton stunned in a pink ensemble by Alexander McQueen, one of her all-time favorite designers. If you want to get excited about a similar blazer and tailored pants look, we found some (including mega-sale pants).

The Duchess paired these pretty pink pieces with earrings and necklaces by Mappin & Webb, according to the Daily Mail. As usual when she dressed in her biz-cas, she finished off her outfit with pointy heeled pumps. A true princess of the trend.

The roundtable was attended by many government officials, including UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid. The topic of discussion was one of the Duchess's most important causes: early care. The Duchess discussed with ministers the results of a new study released by the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood Education, which revealed that much of the public agrees with the Duchess's premise that the early years are incredibly formative for children. In preparing for the meeting, the Duchess stated that "the experiences of early childhood have a fundamental impact on our entire lives and lay the foundation for how we grow as individuals, with each other, as a community, and as a society"

. [The survey results released today], she continued (via the Mail), "give us a great opportunity and show that there is a real willingness from the public to put this issue on the agenda of all of us." [There is more all of us can do. Whether it's working directly with children or investing in the adults around them (parents, caregivers, early education workers, etc.), all members of society can play an important role."
