Prince William is photographed yelling at a photographer for interrupting the Cambridge family's bike ride.
In recent days, an unauthorized video of Prince William yelling at a photographer and complaining about being followed during a private family outing has been circulating online.
According to the Telegraph, the video was taken last year while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, were out for a weekend bike ride near their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.
In the video, Kate Middleton and the children stand off camera while Prince William is understandably upset that he was photographed and filmed with his children on what was not an official outing. The Cambridges also believe that someone with a camera appeared near Ammer Hall and was following them.
Now, Kensington Palace has branded the release of the video an "invasion of privacy." William lamented at the time that he and his children were being photographed and filmed, and eventually a video criticizing the cameraman circulated on social media, much like Inception (the original was uploaded to YouTube).
The Palace is now seeking to have the video removed from all websites where it appeared, and the cameraman was contacted by a lawyer shortly after the altercation.
According to the Telegraph, Prince William has negotiated with the media to agree to allow limited access to the children during official events, to occasionally release family photos, and to ensure their privacy at other times. Since the children are 8, 7, and 4 years old respectively, royal or not, they are absolutely entitled to this privacy.
More than that, as The Telegraph points out, Prince William has seen how difficult it was for his late mother, Princess Diana, to maintain her own privacy when she was royalty.
The Duke's brother, Prince Harry, has also been photographed in the past snapping at journalists for their excesses.
