Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is having a moment.

She turns 75 on July 17, and was asked to guest-edit the July 13 issue of Country Life magazine, with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, taking the cover photo.

The finished product looks like this:

Clarence House, who posted the portrait on Instagram along with a behind-the-scenes photo of Kate Middleton photographing her husband's stepmother, said, "Her Royal Highness was asked by the Duchess of Cornwall to be the guest editor, and her home Ray in Wiltshire Mill and invited the Duchess of Cambridge to shoot the cover image," she wrote.

Royal fans loved that Camilla had chosen Kate for the shoot and that the older woman looked so happy and relaxed in the cover portrait, interpreting it as evidence of a sweet friendship between the two women.

"I absolutely loved it; it's nice to see that they have such a bond. Good for Charles and William," one wrote.

"Wow," someone said, "the Duchess of Cornwall has her own personal photographer, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Middleton, of course, has a long-standing passion for photography that she inherited from her grandfather. She regularly publishes photographs of children she has taken and was involved in the "Hold Still" project during the pandemic.

But the Duchess seems to be more than just an amateur photographer; she is also a true professional. 17]

"The Duchess of Cambridge took her commission very seriously and was incredibly professional about the job at hand," said Country Life Managing and Features Editor Paula Lester said

. She called me to discuss the cover requirements and then composed a series of beautifully photographed images"

"I was told that this is the first time that a formal portrait of the Duchess of Cornwall has been taken by the Duchess of Cambridge for the magazine and I am honored to have been chosen to be the first to publish these beautiful images. The photographs are stunning and I would be delighted to be asked to work with the Duchess of Cambridge again."

As for Camilla, she also recently made her debut in British Vogue ahead of her birthday.
