Prince Harry claims first victory in defamation lawsuit against The Mail on Sunday newspaper.

Good news for Prince Harry. The latest court battle with The Mail on Sunday has gone Prince Harry's way, although the trial is still ongoing.

Royal reporter Omid Scobie confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "? An article in The Mail on Sunday about Prince Harry's legal claim against the British Home Office has been ruled libelous by a High Court judge. The tabloid claimed that Prince Harry was trying to keep his security legal battle with the government "secret."

The comments section of Scobie's tweet was overwhelmingly pleased for the Duke of Sussex." Yay !!!! They are fighting the good fight and winning the good fight," said one. 'Good for Prince Harry!'

added another.

This new victory comes after the Duke sued Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, in February. Harry hit back at the Mail by claiming that they had concealed the fact that he was suing the British government and that they had not offered to pay for his and his family's security for the Jubilee visit.

The Duke believed that the Sussex family's visit to the UK posed a security threat to the Sussex family, who no longer had the security of their royal status and were paying for private security in the US. The Royal Family therefore offered to pay for their own security, but the Ministry of the Interior refused to do so. The royal family is now preparing another legal battle against the government agency over the matter.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, won her first victory in an ongoing lawsuit against the Associated Press last year for invasion of privacy, after being forced to apologize on the front page by the Associated Press.

This article has been updated to reflect that the lawsuit is still ongoing.
