When we talk about the love triangle between Prince Charles, Princess Diana, and Camilla Parker Bowles, we often leave out another actor in that scenario: Andrew Parker Bowles, and the children of the two couples.

For Laura and Tom, children of Princes William and Harry and Camilla and Andrew, the dissolution of their parents' marriage and the engagement of Charles and Camilla could not have been easy.

And indeed, according to royal writer Katie Nichol, it was not.

In her 2010 book William and Harry (opens in new tab), Nicole claims that 40-year-old William and 44-year-old Laura were particularly affected and often fought over it.

"William and Laura had terrible fights about whose fault it was that their family was broken," Nicole writes (via Express).

"William raged at Laura, blaming her for all the hurt Camilla had inflicted on her mother."

"Laura was not happy. [Laura was having none of it. She hit back at William in a forceful manner, saying, 'Your father ruined my life'"

Laura and Tom were also apparently bitter at school because of their mother's affair with Prince Charles.15]

Nicole added, "When Prince Charles called Camilla at the family home in Wiltshire, Laura picked up the extension phone and said over the receiver, 'Stop calling my mother. You don't care about our family!' '"

"She didn't care that it was the Crown Prince, blamed him for ruining her parents' marriage, and wasn't afraid to tell William so."

William has been known to lose his cool behind closed doors from time to time, but these days the not-too-small blended family seems to be finding harmony.
