Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Likely Not to Address Revealing Book Allegations, Experts Say

Unless you have a passing interest in the Royal Family and have been living under a rock somewhere, you have probably read at least one of the dozens of allegations from veteran biographer Tom Bower's latest book, Revenge: Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors. The authors of the book, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have yet to publicly comment on the book's claims.

"I can't answer everything," he tells Us Weekly. 'If I had to answer every single book or allegation, my day would be over. I wouldn't have time to spare for my own mental health and well-being."

"I'm not sure I have the time.

If Bower's book is to be believed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are already "shackled" by media references and have had enough of reading about themselves before returning to the royal family in 2020.

"Every night they scoured the Internet to read newspaper reports and troll posts on social media," Bower wrote. Irrationally, they lumped the two together, fueling each other's media frenzy." As defenders of the good, convinced that they were being persecuted by mending and racism, they felt victimized by even mild criticism.

It is unclear whether the Sussexes have read the book or even the headlines about it, but Russell's own book on the royal family, Do Let's Have Another Drink, was released this fall and focuses on the Queen Mother.

"When you become as famous as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, there is a lot of speculation. In public life, it does no one any good to constantly answer or refute such claims."

Nevertheless, according to Us, royal experts believe that Harry and Meghan "will go down in history as the ones who subverted the famous royal slogan, 'No complaints, no explanations.'"

"Harry and Meghan will probably be remembered as the ones who buried that attitude for themselves and for the next generation of royals," Russell says.

"And maybe that's not a bad thing."

Or perhaps Harry is saving the couple's reaction for his own book due later this year...
