Read MoreThe three Cambridge children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, will begin school in September at the Rum Rook School in Berkshire.
This will be Louis' first time at school, and George and Charlotte will join him at Lambrook School after being daytime students at Thomas Battersea School in London. The move to Lambrook follows the Cambridges' reported move from Kensington Palace in London to Windsor, where they plan to move this summer to a four-bedroom Adelaide cottage.
Tuition at Lambrook is up to £7,000 each term (plus £1,481 for boarding), and according to the Mirror, many students from Lambrook go on to prestigious secondary schools such as Eton, which Prince William attended.
Lambrook is coeducational, the magazine reported, allowing all three Cambridge children to attend the same school, as opposed to Ladbroke and Papplewick, which are boys' schools.
"The Lambrook school is all freshly painted, very good parentally, and the children are all very polite," a parent who sends her child to another school told the Mirror.
In Talk Education's guide to the best private schools in the UK, Lambrook is described as "quite rural."
"I saw children spinning on the croquet lawn, running around with cricket bats, and hanging from old tires dangling from trees. The school is set around a pristine white mansion, with a nursery and pre-school on the grounds." There is a sense of delicious freedom and fresh air."
The school is located in the heart of the city.
The Mirror reported that William and Kate were seen visiting the school "on numerous occasions," and William was apparently chatting with one student about his Latin class.
The Cambridges' move to Windsor will bring them closer to the Queen, who now lives permanently at Windsor Castle and is mourning the loss of her husband, Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 at the age of 99 after 73 years of marriage.
"It's one of the things that hastened her move to Berkshire this summer," a source told the Daily Mail. 'Losing the Duke of Edinburgh has left a huge hole in all their lives. He was a good advisor to William and he holds his grandmother very dear to his heart."
