Kate Middleton has had some pretty embarrassing pranks at her summer job.

Before Kate Middleton went to the University of St. Andrews in Scotland (where she would meet and fall in love with her future husband, Prince William), she, like many of us, found a summer job to earn a little extra money. He worked as a deck hand on the Southampton-based Challenger Yachts.

For her book, Kate: The Future Queen, author and royal expert Katie Nichol spoke with Cal Tomlinson, one of the captains with whom Kate worked. According to Tomlinson, Kate was "very professional" and "serious," but on one occasion, Kate's colleagues liked to have fun and played a prank on her.

One of Kate's jobs was to give safety demonstrations to customers showing them how the ship's life vests worked, the Daily Express reported.

"When she pulled the toggle, the life jacket inflated and a bunch of condoms fell out," Tomlinson said. 'She was mortified and very embarrassed. She was mortified and very embarrassed. [Retaliation, however, was not Kate's style. She was angry at first," he says, "but she calmed down, and I don't remember her taking it back. [Earlier this year, she revealed that her eldest son, Prince George, had used his school vacations to move livestock feed at Anmer Hall, the Cambridges' country home in Norfolk.

"That was George's job for half term.
