Princess Charlotte shows off her silly face at the Commonwealth Games.

Prince William and Kate Middleton took the stands at this year's Commonwealth Games, taking a very energetic Princess Charlotte with them. The young princess attended the gymnastics, swimming, and hockey games with her parents on August 2 and seemed to enjoy herself immensely as a spectator.

She was rarely photographed without a cheerful expression on her face, which no doubt caught the attention of onlookers. From pulling her hair up in pigtails to making funny faces, Charlotte was in the spotlight with her gestures.

Perhaps she was following in the footsteps of her lively brother, Prince Louis, who was the star of the show at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee in June. The day celebrated the Queen's historic 70-year reign, but all eyes were on Prince Louis, who made silly faces and covered his ears on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Charlotte wore a striped dress, Kate an all-white dress, and William a blue jacket and shirt. Royal fans also could not help but notice that Kate was not wearing her trademark engagement ring. To be fair, Kate has often gone without sparklers in the past, especially during the coronavirus outbreak. And we don't blame her if she chose to wear only a simple gold wedding band because she was attending a sporting event.

Judging from the Duke and Duchess' Instagram, the day was a success. The couple's page reads, "Thank you, Birmingham! Athletes, mascots, and great atmosphere ...... An unforgettable day for all of us!!! #B2022"

.

The post continued, "" Going behind the scenes with @teamsportsaid and @officialteamengland Futures was a real highlight."

There, the next generation of athletes and support staff are helped to perform at their best, cope with pressure, and make the most of their experience at major competitions.

Now if only Prince George could join in the fun with his younger siblings.
