Omid Scobie, author of the 2020 Sussex biography Finding Freedom, will publish a second book in 2023, publisher HarperCollins announced.

Scobie, who co-authored Finding Freedom with Caroline Durand, said his latest book will "get the world talking."

In a statement about the forthcoming book, it was revealed that "this nonfiction title focuses on a new chapter in the royal story, featuring unique insights, deep access, and exclusive revelations that will once again make the world talk when it is released."

Although it does not mention which part of the royal story it will focus on, "Finding Freedom" is "based on a series of interviews with unnamed sources who claim to have close ties to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and other members of the royal family," The Independent reported.

After its initial release in August 2020, the book was re-released in 2021 with a new epilogue. The revised edition includes details about how Prince William allegedly reacted to Harry and Meghan's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, with sources saying that Prince William "is understood to have been 'furious' that private family matters were being discussed in public," and

They also claimed that participating in Oprah's interview was "cathartic" for Meghan.

"Everything she had kept to herself [as an active member of the royal family] or was too afraid to say, she finally felt safe to share," Meghan's friend is reported to have told Scobie. It was liberating."

The epilogue also mentions that Harry will return to England for his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral in April 2021.

The Sussex couple's lawyers have previously denied working with Scobie and Duran on Finding Freedom, stating that "[Scobie and Duran] did not collaborate on the book, were not interviewed for the book, and did not provide photographs to the authors for the book."

They stated that they "did not collaborate on the book.
